Gingerbread Loaf

SERVES: 24 portions

RECIPE TIME: 20 - 30 Minutes

What you need:

  • 1¾ Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • ½ Tbsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Sea Salt
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ Cup Veggie Oil
  • ½ Cup Applesauce
  • 2 Tbsp Molasses

What to do:

  1. Make sure you wash your hands before you begin.
  2. Preheat oven to 350F.
  3. Mix whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt in a large bowl. Blend in sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  4. Beat eggs and veggie oil in a separate mixing bowl. Then add applesauce and molasses and continue beating.
  5. Slowly add dry ingredients to the mixture. Stir until smooth and moist, while adding water as needed.
  6. Pour mixture into parchment lined baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes.
