What you need:
- 2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
- ½ Tbsp Baking Powder
- ½ Tsp Baking Soda
- ½ Tsp Sea Salt
- 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon
- ½ Tsp Nutmeg
- 1½ Tsp Ginger
- ½ Tsp Allspice
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 2 Tbsp Flax Flour
- 6 Tbsp Water
- ½ Cup Veggie Oil
- 2/3 Cup Applesauce
- 3 Tbsp Molasses
What to do:
- Make sure you wash your hands before you begin.
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Mix the flax flour and water in a small bowl, let it sit for at least 15 min.
- Mix whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt in a large bowl. Blend in sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice..
- Mix the Flax mixture and veggie oil in a separate mixing bowl. Then add vanilla, applesauce and molasses and continue beating.
- Slowly add dry ingredients to the mixture. Stir until smooth and moist. If the mixture looks dry (i.e. has patchy flour spots) or is difficult to mix, add water as needed.
- Pour mixture into parchment lined baking tray and bake for 40-45 minutes.
