Apple Cinnamon Loaf

RECIPE TIME: 60 Minutes

What you need:

  • 1 ½ Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • ¼ Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Flax Meal
  • 6 Tbsp Water
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • ¼ Cup Butter, Unsalted
  • 1 ½ Cup Applesauce

What to do:

  1. Make sure to wash your hands before you begin.
  2. Preheat oven to 350F.
  3. Line bottom of loaf pan with parchment paper.
  4. Mix flax meal with the water, let it sit for at least for 15 mins.
  5. In a medium sized bowl combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. In a large mixing bowl add the flax egg, vanilla, butter, sugar and applesauce until well combined (2-3 minutes).
  7. Stir in dry ingredients and mix until smooth and moist. Pour batter into loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center of loaf comes out clean.
  9. Let cool for 10 minutes.
