What you need:
- 1 ½ Cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- ¼ Tsp Salt
- 2 Tbsp Flax Meal
- 6 Tbsp Water
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- ¼ Cup Butter, Unsalted
- 1 ½ Cup Applesauce
What to do:
- Make sure to wash your hands before you begin.
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Line bottom of loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Mix flax meal with the water, let it sit for at least for 15 mins.
- In a medium sized bowl combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl add the flax egg, vanilla, butter, sugar and applesauce until well combined (2-3 minutes).
- Stir in dry ingredients and mix until smooth and moist. Pour batter into loaf pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center of loaf comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes.
